A novel, adventurous and relaxed family vacation.
I found Cool Travel Iceland on-line. I took a chance on them because of the glowing reviews and now I’m happy to post my own. I spent seven nights, eight days in Iceland with my husband and 21 and 27 year old sons. Working with Iris by email was seamless. I completely changed my initial plan for a driver and guide to self navigation in a rented car, she was right there with guidance and quick to help me lock in a plan. She booked our car, hotels and five excursions. She provided a personal itinerary accessible with an app. It was incredibly thorough and easy to use. Each day was complete with our reservations and tickets, as well as driving distances, lunch suggestions and lists of every possible site to see between here and there. Because they are local, Iris was able to tell us where not to go because of a national holiday, and in which order to do things based on possible crowds. She helped plan a wonderful trip for my family that was novel, adventurous, and relaxed. Perfect in every way.

Bjorn and his team are exceptional professionally and personally from customizing our adventure throughout Reykjavik to the Golden Circle, to the glaciers, falls, beaches, geysers, Puffins, the amazing history of Iceland and all in-between. We were assisted on our first adventure to Iceland by Bjorn with Cool Travel Iceland. His personalized assistance went far beyond our expectations!! He guided us every step of the way with recommendations for sites, accommodations, restaurants and excursions. And with an unexpected 4feet of snow he helped us get things changed around with out a hitch. A Once-in-A-Lifetime Vacation!
Our family of 4 visited Iceland for 2 weeks. Trying to plan a trip like that in a foreign country with a very foreign language was overwhelming. I searched online for a travel agent to help us plan this trip and found Cool Travel Iceland. Bjorn booked our rental car, lodging, and 3 excursions. He was able to guide how many nights we stayed in each location. He listened to our wants/needs and created a perfect and detailed itinerary which included directions, maps, and sights to see along the way. He was also available to chat along the way when needed. He took the stress out of planning and helped create a once-in-a-lifetime vacation (even under budget!) I highly recommend Cool Travel Iceland.

ALL hotels were a wonderful recommendation by Cool Travel Iceland… and you’re exactly which hotels could except three of us in a room! They also arranged for car and snowmobile tour and an app FILLED with driving directions and links to sights! They quickly responded to all contact via phone and email. They were great to work with snd lots of detail and easy pre planning because we wanted to travel on our own without guides!!!

Very good consulting and execution of our private trip to Iceland
Bjorn was very responsive pre-arrival consulting on the itinerary and arranged a very good guide for us for the days he was not able to be with us. We were very happy with our trip to Iceland and would recommend his agency. HIs agency arranged private guide with car for 3 days in the area between Reykjavik and Vik and the various activities during those days. We arranged our own hotel and air.

The most incredible vacation of a lifetime
Trip of a lifetime - the most unforgettable vacation. Travel industry at its finest. We decided to find a local agency to help us plan our Iceland vacation and it was a good decision. After learning our budget, interests, timing, etc Iris from Cool Travel Iceland got to work designing a custom itinerary to maximize every moment we had in Iceland and every dollar of our budget. She changed the itinerary based on our feedback and had amazing ideas and creativity. Everything was pre-booked and we received a detailed itinerary with every possible question answered before we ever left home. The vacation itself surpassed my wildest imagination. We’d have seen and done half the things we did had we tried to do this on our own. Our guide Björn was kind, gregarious, and limitlessly knowledgeable. It was a week of relaxed fantasy taking in some of the most beautiful sights, sounds, and tastes I’ve ever experienced. We saw *so much* yet never felt rushed nor hurried and Björn adapted the sights we saw based on how he got to know our interests. If you’re taking a vacation to Iceland - for a day or a month - you’re doing yourself a disservice by not leveraging this company.
Iris helped us plan our honeymoon in Iceland, and I can not recommend her enough! She was amazing, very responsive, and helped us plan the perfect trip! I would highly recommend working with Iris and the Cool Travel Iceland team to plan your trip to Iceland!
Our trip was perfectly organized, not one thing went amiss. From taxi transfers, inland flight to hotels all went smoothly and there were a lot of helpful tips and information. Also links to safe travel which gives updates about the roads. Can only warmly recommend
We did the Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon tour with Bjorn and it was amazing. Bjorn was so knowledgeable about Iceland, providing history and facts that were so thorough! He was also personable and very funny. Highly recommend Bjorn and his company for any Icelandic travel.
